Yes. The bag has been tested in a worst-case scenario where a fully charged, unextinguished battery was put into thermal runaway. No flames, sparks, or metal parts came out, and the outside remained cool enough to prevent damage to the surroundings.

The flame arrester vents the excessive gases released during thermal runaway, without allowing flames or sparks to escape. This keeps the bag intact, even with batteries that have a capacity of more than 300 Wh.

Both kits contain the same components and operate in the same way. The difference lies in the dimensions of the containment bag. The XL version is suitable for larger devices or batteries. Contact LOXXER for advice on the right size for your situation.

First, extinguish the battery with a suitable fire extinguisher before using the containment bag. Then, put on the provided fire-resistant gloves and place the device or battery in the bag. Close the bag according to the provided instructions. The Lithium Fire Kit Medium does not contain a fire extinguisher — ensure that one is available separately at the location.
