LOXXER consists of a team of specialists with expertise in fire safety related to lithium-ion batteries and the challenges associated with this issue.
With its headquarters located in Belgium, LOXXER focuses on developing innovative solutions for the safe charging and storage of lithium-ion batteries, ranging from extinguishing kits to (locker) cabinets and containers.
LOXXER was founded by Johan and Renée Pillen, who had years of experience in the safety sector. The idea for LOXXER emerged when the automotive industry requested a solution for safely charging lithium-ion batteries a few years ago. Research, however, revealed that there were no existing solutions on the market capable of addressing the challenges of lithium-ion batteries, such as thermal runaway. With the increasing number of battery fires and the growing demand for safe solutions, Johan and Renée decided to develop a solution themselves. This led to the birth of LOXXER, with the mission: safe and efficient charging and storage solutions for lithium-ion batteries.

The Dutch standard PGS 37-2 is a guideline for the storage of hazardous substances in the Netherlands, including lithium-ion batteries. It sets specific requirements for storage in cabinets and containers and serves as the foundation for the further development of our LOXXER products.
